After starting in the Mount Forest area we have grown to cover the province of Ontario with our many varying expertise in the electrical industry.

Mount Forest is a community of 4300, located halfway between Guelph and Owen Sound on Highway 6. We claim the distinction of being two hours or less from everywhere (Toronto-London-Barrie-St. Catherines). Residential - Commercial - Industrial - Pole Line - Subdivision Services - Substations to 44 KV - Complete Airfield Systems - Data/Communications, with copper and fiber optic cables.
Services
In the last 29 years we have completed airport electrical projects at more than 28 Ontario Airports.
These projects have included airfield installations complete with regulators and controls.
Our expertise are in many different systems, including: PAPI's(APAPI's), ODALS, REILS, SALSAR, ARCAL, as well as rotating beacons, windsocks and all types of lighting.
We have installed series (regulator) and AC systems at Transport Canada, Municipal and Private airports.
Dewar Services has employees that are factory trained in Flash Technology airfield products as well as Honeywell/Westinghouse regulators.
We are CERTIFIED and experienced in many types of data and communications cabling systems.
On staff we have installers that are Certified up to Cat 6 and also Fibre optic.
Through the Leviton company we can offer a full 25 year warranty on all of our installations.
Our Data/Communications experiences have involved us in projects from adding an extension to a residential phone line to the complete Cat 5E installation in a Medical Clinic complete with an underground fibre optic link to the local Hospital.
With this type of project, expertise in ground resistances and resistivity testing is a necessity.
Technical experience in the design process is also very important to determine fault currents, lightening arrestor rating and class as well as the requirement for air break or load break switches.
Our CAD department can design and produce plans required for Electrical Safety Authority High Voltage Plan reviews.
When required by market prices, deliveries and customer needs we have sourced, purchased, refurbished and installed pre-owned equipment.
Our industrial experience covers everything from individual machine wiring to complete plant facilities with services as large as 3000 amp at 600/347 volts.
Some buildings have also required a substation which we are trained and qualified to install.
Our in-house design and CAD service can be engineer stamped, a service we do supply.
Our CAD department does design and produce plans required for Electrical Safety Authority Low Voltage Plan reviews.
Scissor lifts, powered conduit benders and cable pullers are only a few of the tools owned by our company.
Private lines and road extensions are our specialty.
Lines built have included voltages from 2400 to 44000 volts with overhead conductor sized from #2 ACSR to 336 AC.
Framing includes armless and crossarm style construction in wood or steel.
Subdivision servicing is another type of electrical work we are qualified and experienced at.
