After serving as an electronic technician in the military, Carl Orgeron established A-1 the day after his first son, Ryan, was born in 1973.
Although it was originally established as a residential electrical company, it quickly expanded and changed into the commercial contractor that it is today.
Ryan grew up in the industry, working at A-1 in the summers and majored in Electrical Engineering at Louisiana State University.
After earning his engineering license and completing a four-year internship at Keystone Engineering, Ryan joined the A-1 company with his father and established Drake Engineering, a partner-company, enabling the teams to work together on design-build projects.
