Services
AdenBecks was founded as a sole proprietorship electrical contracting company in 1984.
Adrian and Becky Thoeny began providing electrical work in a niche market, doing the work that other companies preferred to leave alone.
Through the years Adrian (Ade) and Becky (Beck) expanded their niche as they developed a loyal, growing customer base that appreciated quality work at a reasonable price.
In 2000 Adrian's son Chauncey began training as an electrician, and in 2004 David joined the family business in the office.
AdenBecks started a project in Welpinit this week.
We began by installing a temporary 400 Amp service, wiring a new addition with a 200 Amp service.
We will then replace the existing 400 Amp CT service with a 600 Amp CT service and restoring power through it to the building.
All of this is being done at the Spokane Tribal Housing Authority.
Great fun so far and getting a lot done quickly.

Why not have a whole house electrical safety check-up done?
Some workers in desperation do desperate things.
And usually the desperate thing turns out to be, well, dumb.
One of the larger jobs I was on was a build of a thirteen story building.
As the electricians were finishing up our trim-out of the job, the carpet layers arrived.
I had made a habit of cleaning up behind me as I worked, so there weren't many issues on my end with tools and debris lying about.
However others had not been so careful.
The carpet layers said that they wouldn't do any clean up because, in their words, "That's not our Job."
Question: I am working on a manufactured home I bought and I needed to put a GFCI in the kitchen.
I found that the receptacle had romex?
What size of ground wire do I need to run between two ground rods?
Without getting into too many details and situations, generally, for a 200 Amp service, if you are only concerned about the wire between two ground rods, #6 Bare Stranded Copper wire will do just fine.
There are some parameters to keep in mind.
Flickering lights Breakers that always trip Fuses that always blow A burning smell coming from appliances or in rooms Discoloured wall outlets Outlets that spark Outlets and switches that are hot to the touch The attached article makes a strong case for regular and frequent checks of your electrical system.

It reminded me of a story I heard about a couple of carpet layers doing a job.
As they finished up and were leaving, one of the carpet layers couldn't find his cigarettes.
As he looked about he saw a small lump in the carpet near the middle of the floor.
