The Ferding Electric Story began years before original owner and founder, Cory Ferding, a native of Harron, Norway, first hung his shingle and opened the doors in 1956.
Cory saved up his money for trade school and graduated from an Electrical Technical School in 1945.
After a few years spent working in the electrical field in Norway, Cory's Uncle, Ole Williamson offered to buy the young man a ticket to visit the United States and the Ft.
Pierre, South Dakota area where he owned a ranch.
Cory took his uncle up on that offer and came to the Pierre/Ft.
Cory saved up his money for trade school and graduated from an Electrical Technical School in 1945.

Aaron is an Apprentice and IEC trained Electrician with 6 years of experience since he joined the Ferding Electric Team in 2008.
A Journeyman Electrician, Bill grew up in Virginia and came to Ferding Electric in 2013 with 12 years of experience.
He is most interested in the service and new construction aspects of the electrical business.
Bill lives in Pierre with his wife and son and enjoys hunting, fishing and time in the outdoors.
An Apprentice Electrician, Brad grew up in the Pierre area and began with Ferding Electric in 2005.
A Journeyman Electrician, Bill grew up in Virginia and came to Ferding Electric in 2013 with 12 years of experience.
