There are several indications that an electrical outlet has become unsafe and should be replaced.
One test is if you see that an electrical plug can no longer hold tightly in the outlet.
Another would be if you see part of the outlet broken or chipped.
Lastly, if the outlet is warm to the touch, that is a big red flag as well.
If any of these conditions exist you should call Lite Electric at (706) 447-2854 or visit our Contact page to schedule an appointment to have the outlet evaluated.
GFI stands for Ground Fault Interrupter.
